The Tan Chay Bing Scholarship was established by the Tan Chay Bing Education Fund in 2025. The Tan Chay Bing Education Fund was set up in memory of the late Mr Tan Chay Bing, eldest son of illustrious philanthropist Mr Tan Kah Kee. The Fund focuses on long-term skills training for students and has contributed to numerous educational institutions across and beyond Singapore. At the core of the Fund’s initiatives is a dedication to giving back to the community, and a commitment to education and skills development.

The Tan Chay Bing Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship for Year 2-4 YST undergraduates who are Singapore citizens, who have demonstrated strong artistic and academic performance, as well as active engagement in the community.
