It is awarded annually to a graduating Bachelor of Music Piano student of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music who has distinguished him/herself consistently (including in their Senior Recital), with an overall CAP of at least 4.0.
Dr Guy Hentsch is a former Swiss diplomat of 15 years, before a 22-year career at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva. He has lived in Singapore since 2007 and been an avid supporter of the arts in Singapore, creating platforms for young pianists to showcase their talent. Mr Geoffrey Yu has held a range of senior positions across the government and higher education sectors in Singapore as well as in the World Intellectual Property Organisation in Geneva.
