Presented by Mivos Quartet and the YST Composition Department, Breaking Point features works by Joel Tan, Lee Yi Xuan, Xiao Wen, Toh Yan Ee and Joan Tan Jing Wen, bringing together music by alumni and current composition students, and celebrating emerging voices in the compositional scene.
Founded in New York in 2008, Mivos Quartet is dedicated to championing new string quartet music and expanding the contemporary repertoire. The ensemble works closely with composers across diverse musical practices, commissioning, premiering and performing new works alongside collaborations with artists from a wide range of genres and traditions. Through performances, workshops and educational programmes, Mivos brings new music to audiences around the world.

Admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. For everyone’s safety, admission will close once the venue reaches full capacity.
Out of respect for all patrons, late admission will only be allowed at suitable intervals. No children under 6 years of age will be allowed admission. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
