SUMMARY:Mivos Quartet: Breaking Point
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Mivos Quartet and the YST Composition Department\, Breaking Point features works by Joel Tan\, Lee Yi Xuan\, Xiao Wen\, Toh Yan Ee and Joan Tan Jing Wen\, bringing together music by alumni and current composition students\, and celebrating emerging voices in the compositional scene. \nFounded in New York in 2008\, Mivos Quartet is dedicated to championing new string quartet music and expanding the contemporary repertoire. The ensemble works closely with composers across diverse musical practices\, commissioning\, premiering and performing new works alongside collaborations with artists from a wide range of genres and traditions. For everyone’s safety\, admission will close once the venue reaches full capacity. \nOut of respect for all patrons\, late admission will only be allowed at suitable intervals.
