Forum: Trio Abstrakt Reading Session
March 24, 2026 • 7:30pm
YST Recital Studio
Trio Abstrakt from Germany leads a reading session of new works by YST composition majors.
With their unique combination of saxophone, piano, and percussion, the ensemble offers students the opportunity to explore and refine their ideas through collaboration, experimentation, and performance—a session of discovery and creative exchange in new musical ideas.
Over the past eight years, Trio Abstrakt has championed contemporary chamber music, working closely with composers such as Isabel Mundry, Franck Bedrossian, Alberto Posadas, Giorgio Netti, and Milica Djordjević. Their programming spans classical, improvisational, electronic, jazz, and rock influences, reflecting a commitment to both tradition and the present-day sonic landscape.
