ABOUT THIS EVENT
After a series of preliminary rounds, where YST second and third-year students competed within their instrumental family groupings, the Conservatory Concerto Competition Finals brings together the first and second-placed musicians from each area, to compete for the opportunity to play their chosen concerto with the Conservatory Orchestra. Finalists compete over two evenings, performing a complete work of their choice with piano accompaniment. The event culminates with the announcing of three soloists by our international panel of adjudicators.
