Mr Robert Tomlin and Ms Pang Siu Yuin will step down from the Board as of 31 October 2021, after many years of distinguished service. Mr Tomlin is Vice Chairman, Lepercq de Neuflize Asia Pte Ltd, and Ms Pang is Head, Singapore National Youth Orchestra.

Ms Chong Siak Ching, Chair of the YST Governing Board, said, “We are pleased to welcome Nicholas and Jia Hua to the Board. Nicholas will bring rich experience from the legal and finance sectors, as well as his passion for music and education. Jia Hua will be the first Conservatory alumnus to join the Board and his experience as a musician and entrepreneur in Singapore will add to the diverse expertise of the current board.

“On behalf of the entire Board, I extend our deepest appreciation to Robert and Siu Yuin, for their leadership, insights and dedication as Board members from 2003 and 2008 respectively. They have helped steer YST in its growth from its early stages, and I thank them for their immense contributions and support.”

The Governing Board provides strategic direction and guidance to YST in furtherance of its objectives in music education and scholarship as a conservatory of repute in Singapore and internationally.
