Second Major in Audio Arts & Sciences
Application for Second Major in AAS
Due to the strict semestral schedule for module offerings over six semesters, students must begin this Second Major in Year 2 Semester 1. As a result, application for this restricted second major is only open for NUS first-year students in Semester 2 during the application for restricted second majors and minors period, via myEduRec.
During the application, you will be required to provide the following supporting materials:
^ Candidates are required to prepare a video recording of at least 10 minutes consisting of at least two contrasting pieces, movements from compositions, or songs of their own choice using any musical instruments. Any style, genre, or period is permitted. Candidates with a background in composition may also choose to present a portfolio of at least two original scores written for different combinations of instruments/voices.
* Upload the video recordings and any recording portfolio electronically via an accessible online shared drive (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox). Each recording/portfolio item must be uploaded as a separate file, labelled clearly, and grouped into sub-folders if applicable (1. Video Recording; 2. Recording Portfolio). Save the sub-folders into one folder and then provide the link to the folder in the application form.
Application portfolios that remain incomplete will be rejected.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and may be called for an interview.
