To commemorate the 13th iteration of the Bach Cantata Series at YST, we will be presenting a concert of the somewhat lesser known of Bach’s children: P.D.Q. Bach (a.k.a. Peter Schickele). Featuring some of P.D.Q. Bach’s masterworks, including The Stoned Guest, a half-act opera, S. 86 Proof; selections from The Short-Tempered Clavier; the Canine Cantata: Wachet Arf! (Sleeping Dogs, Awake!), S. K9; the Cantata Blaues Gras (Bluegrass Cantata), S. 6 String; and many others.
