The YSTCM World Music Ensemble is proud to present “Nusantara Interlocks”, a showcase of music from the world of Malay percussion and Indonesian Balinese Gamelan! Immerse yourself in the sounds of the nusantara, as the students-turned-musicians perform a variety of pieces ranging from the traditional to the contemporary. This showcase will feature two exciting traditional Malay and Balinese processionals, as well as an arrangement of a Balinese folksong “Juru Pencar“, where both elements of Malay kompang and Balinese gamelan are fused together!
