Stories of Summer is a wind quintet concert featuring SNAFU Wind Quintet, exploring the shifting moods and atmospheres of the season.
The programme brings together works by Jacques Ibert, Leoš Janáček, and Samuel Barber, each offering a different perspective on summer. From brightness and playful movement to memory, warmth, and quiet stillness, the concert traces a journey through contrasting summer states.
Across the evening, moments of energy and vitality gradually give way to reflection and suspended calm, revealing the many emotional colours associated with summer.
Performed by SNAFU Wind Quintet, Stories of Summer offers an atmospheric evening of chamber music that invites audiences to experience the season through sound.
