Sibbi Bernhardsson Violin Recital

Join us for an evening with Grammy Award-winning violinist Sibbi Bernhardsson, one of Iceland’s leading musical voices.
Sibbi Bernhardsson joined the Oberlin Conservatory faculty in 2017 after performing for 17 years with the Pacifica Quartet, with which he won a Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance, Musical America Ensemble of the Year, and the Avery Fisher Career Grant.
With the Pacifica Quartet, Bernhardsson appeared in more than 90 concerts annually, including engagements at Wigmore Hall, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Concertgebouw, Suntory Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, and other major venues. He has collaborated with artists including Menahem Pressler, Yo-Yo Ma, Jörg Widmann, Lynn Harrell, Leon Fleisher, the Emerson String Quartet, and members of the Guarneri and Cleveland quartets.
Bernhardsson previously served on the faculty of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.

Patrons without valid tickets will not be allowed entry. Out of respect for all patrons, late admission will only be allowed at suitable intervals. No children under 6 years of age will be allowed admission. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the venue.
