DESCRIPTION:Distinguished violist Sangjin Kim conducts a masterclass\, working with YST students to refine their musical performance. The session is open to the public to attend and observe\, offering the opportunity to experience the professional expertise of veteran artists as well as the learning process of young musicians up close.  \nDescribed as “a poised\, appealing performer with rock-solid technique\, warm\, powerful\, variable tone and a simple direct expressiveness” (Strings Magazine)\, Sangjin is a winner of several international solo and chamber music competitions and tours the United States\, Europe\, and Asia in more than 70 performances a year.  \nA former member of the International Sejong Soloists and Kumho Asiana String Quartet\, Mr. Kim is frequently featured as a soloist with major symphony orchestras in Korea. He is a founding member of the vibrant M.I.K. Ensemble\, celebrated as one of the leading quartets in the classical music scene.
