DESCRIPTION:The Allied Chamber Duo is a concertizing team of “East & West” featuring Chinese-Malaysian pianist Iau Jo Yee and North American bass trombonist Darrin C. Milling. While the combination of piano and bass trombone is new to some\, this formation has roots and original compositions dating back to the Classical period. Allied’s programming is a display of dialogue between two instruments and cultures with a vast richness of repertoire by Brahms\, Rachmaninoff\, Gershwin\, Francisco Braga\, Ida Gotkovsky\, Huang Ruo\, Yeo Chow Shern\, and more.
