The Catz Quintet

The Catz Quintet was named after St Catherine’s College when the musicians involved – then all in their first term at Oxford – were drawn together through their mutual friendships and interests. The quintet, which made its debut in Oxford in November 2008, is committed to raising the profile of wind quintets through the performance of non-standard repertoire and, by so doing, to offering a new experience of such pieces to audiences. Recent highlights have included playing for the Vice-Chancellor's Circle at Rhodes House, the opening ceremony of the Ashmolean Museum, and providing the music for the inauguration of the Blavatnik School of Government.
