Dr Choi Hye-SEon
Choi Hye-Seon earned her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance from Indiana University where she also earned a Masters and Performer's Diploma.
She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Dong-Duk University in Seoul. Her teachers have included Edward Auer, Karen Shaw, Eugene Pridonoff, Alfonso Montecino, Michel Block, Sunghye Kim and Hye-Won Jang. Her performing career focuses on solo recitals as well as chamber music for instruments and voice and she has presented recitals in the U.S., Canada and Asia.
In recent seasons she has performed in Seoul at Ewha Women's University and Dong-Duk University, at the Parry Sound Chamber Music Festival at the Georgian Bay of Canada, at the University of North Carolina, as well as numerous concerts in Indiana and others.
Her teaching career has been long and varied. She taught for 12 years at DePauw University and has taught as well at Bethesda Christian University in Los Angeles and at the University of Indianapolis. Dr. Choi has taught private piano, class piano and keyboard harmony. She is also teaches piano at the School of the Arts Singapore.
