Ong Teng Cheong Professorship in Music

The Ong Teng Cheong Professorship in Music is an endowment set up to honour Singapore’s late President and avid contributor to the arts and music in Singapore, Mr Ong Teng Cheong (1936-2002). The income generated from the endowment fund, contributed by the Singapore Totalisator Board and the Lee Foundation, is used to engage eminent musicians to teach at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. The Professorship was launched on 2 October 2002 by the late former President S R Nathan.
