ABOUT MUTSUKI WATANABE
The winner of Most Outstanding Award at the prestigious International Electone Festival ‘88 (Paris), Mutsuki started to learn Electone at the age of 5 at the Yamaha Music School. He studied composition theory, piano and vocal accompaniment at the Hamburger Konservatorium and Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg in Germany. Since his return to Japan, he has held solo concerts all over the country and released 5 albums. His myriad collaborations with well-known classical music artists (pianists, percussionists, cellists, violinists, vocalists, etc) include working with the esteemed Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Beyond Japan, his solo concerts and masterclasses in China and Taiwan have been well-received. With an extraordinarily expressive capability built upon strong musicality, Mutsuki is a leading electone expert in classical music. Besides performing internationally, Mutsuki also teaches electronic organ at conservatories of music in Japan.
