On October 2nd, he led an historic farewell concert for Ban Ki-moon, with his guest violinist Maxim Vengerov. Other notable accompanied soloists have included Khatia Buniatishvili, Alexandra Conunova, Miloš Karadaglić, Camille and Julie Berthollet.

Marguier began his musical career as a solo clarinetist under the direction of Claudio Abbado in the Youth Orchestra of the European Union and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. Armin Jordan hired him at age 23 as a clarinetist of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, a position he held for 17 years. He conducts a bass clarinet / clarinet masterclass with YST students.
