SUMMARY:Soundbites: OpusNovus
DESCRIPTION:What happens when rhythm becomes a laboratory and the score only a starting point? SoundBites brings together the outcomes of OpusNovus’s Experimental and Rhythm workshops\, with four student groups shaping works through improvisation\, unconventional notation and collective decision-making. This lunchtime programme invites audiences inside the ensemble’s creative process\, where listening\, risk\, precision and spontaneity turn rehearsal discoveries into performance. \nPROGRAMME \nGroup A:\nQI YUFEI\, flute\nLIU XIAOWEI\, trombone\nCHRISTIAN DANIEL RAGAY BORRES\, percussion\nAUREITSEVICH NATALLIA\, violin\nNG EE-JUN\, violin\nLIU XUANYU\, viola\nHUANG YUNG-TING\, double bass\n \nGroup B:\nSEAN NICHOLAS ALEXANDER\,  clarinet\nLUO TIANHAO\, french horn\nCHEN XING-CHI\, piano\nCHEN YI TIEN\, violin\nYIN CHEN ZIYUE\, violin\nZHU RUONING\, cello\nLOEWE LIM LI TONG\, double bass \nGroup C:\nCHOI HONG WA\, bassoon\nWEN CHIA-CHUN\, trumpet\nCHIU PIN-HSIN\, piano\nGAO WEI TINA\, violin\nKUNG YU-NING\, viola\nLIU YIDUO\, cello \nGroup D:\nCHEN SIHONG\, bassoon\nJIA LIYE\, trumpet\nZHANG HANZHI\, violin\nLIN YI-HSUAN\, violin\nCLAUDIA KHANG LOO AN\, viola\nASSENBAY ALAN\, cello\nSHERZOD BAKHTIYOROV\, cello \nABOUT OPUSNOVUS \nCommitted to presenting groundbreaking repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries\, YST contemporary music ensemble OpusNovus empowers young musicians to explore and engage with the evolving language of contemporary music through performance\, collaboration\, and experimentation. \nThe ensemble performs works by leading international composers and actively champions Southeast Asian voices.
