DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the Malay word tenun—meaning “to weave”—this performance celebrates the intricate\, multidimensional nature of music across cultures. Tenun symbolises the interweaving of diverse musical traditions coming together to create a unified\, harmonious whole.\n \nExperience six captivating pieces—two songs and four instrumental works—that blend reinterpretations of traditional folk songs with original Singaporean intercultural compositions. Performed by an eight-piece ensemble of students and professionals\, the performance features instruments from various musical cultures\, including the pipa\, danbau\, angklung\, rebana\, and tabla.
