SUMMARY:MCP Capstone: The Places We’ve Been
DESCRIPTION:Places hold memories. Whether a building has existed for hundreds of years or was newly built a month ago\, it carries with it countless moments of those who have lived through it. \nYet while some things stay the same\, change is inevitable. When this stability is taken away\, what remains? Does the building continue to serve the same purpose in its new form? What do we do with the memories that it once housed? \nWelcome to The Places We’ve Been. Through a series of contemporary musical works that explore various locations in our everyday lives\, you are invited to a session of remembering and reliving – through concrete\, nature and everything in between. \n\n\n  \nPROGRAMME \nJAMES SAUNDERSall the things we make you do \nXIAO WENspeaking ground \nmoving planes \nJOHN CAGEChild of Tree \n  \nXIAO WEN (BMus3)\, composer\, producer\, electronicsISABEL CHIN CHUN EN (BMus3)\, percussionSEAN NICHOLAS ALEXANDER (BMus2)\, clarinetTSENG HUA-CHIH (BMus3)\, french hornJODY ANG HONG YING (BMus3)\, voice \n  \nTICKETING INFORMATION \nAdmission is free with registration via this link. \nOut of respect for all patrons\, late admission will only be allowed at suitable intervals.
