SUMMARY:MCP Capstone: In Another Light
DESCRIPTION:How often do we link musicians to genres or cultural frames without realising it? \nThis concert reimagines the Guzheng beyond its usual setting\, placing it in dialogue with a Western string quartet. As textures intertwine and musical roles evolve\, familiar boundaries begin to soften. \nBy situating the Guzheng in varied settings throughout the programme\, the performance reflects on how placement shapes the way we understand musical roles. When an instrument appears where it is not typically expected\, something changes.
