SUMMARY:Living Threads
DESCRIPTION:Two works ask how music can move between cultures\, technologies and the natural world. Dai Fujikura’s Green Tea Concerto brings the traverso into a contemporary setting of strings and harpsichord\, allowing old instruments and new sensibilities to breathe together. Lou Harrison’s Piano Concerto brings the solo instrument into vivid dialogue with low brass\, percussion\, harp and strings\, reflecting his singular synthesis of musical traditions. \nAcross the programme\, sound becomes a current connecting past and present\, human craft and the living environment. \n  \nPresented as part of Performers(‘) Present 2026: Interweaving. \n  \nDAI FUJIKURA\nGreen Tea Concerto \nERIC LAMB\, solo traverso / flute\nLIEN BOON HUA\, conductor\nCHIU PIN-HSIN\, harpsichord\nAUREITSEVICH NATALLIA and LIN YI-HSUAN\, violins\nKUNG YU-NING\, viola\nLIU YIDUO\, cello\nHUANG YUNG-TING\, double bass \nLOU HARRISON\nPiano Concerto with Selected Orchestra \nALBERT TIU\, solo piano\nLIEN BOON HUA\, conductor\nZHANG HANZHI\, AUREITSEVICH NATALLIA\, CHEN YI-TIEN\, GAO WEI TINA\, XU ZHUORUI and ZHAO TONGZHOU\, violin I\nLIN YI-HSUAN\, NG EE-JUN\, YIN CHEN ZIYUE\, ANDREA LIN and JORIM SIM\, violin II\nKUNG YU-NING\, LIU XUANYU\, CLAUDIA KHANG LOO AN and CAITLIN CHIN KAI LI\, violas\nASSENBAY ALAN\, ZHU RUONING\, LIU YIDUO and SHERZOD BAKHTIYOROV\, cellos\nHUANG YUNG-TING and LOEWE LIM LI TONG\, double basses\nLIU XIAOWEI\, DON KOW and HENDRIK KWEK\, trombones\nCHRISTIAN DANIEL RAGAY BORRES\, KUO YAN-SHIN\, ISABEL CHIN CHUN EN and CAI JIAYING\, percussion\nZENG YAN\, harp \n  \nTICKETING INFORMATION \nTickets available via yst.eventbrite.com; Further details announced when ticket sales open. \nPatrons without valid tickets will not be allowed entry.
