DESCRIPTION:Join us as we continue our Liederabend series where we will present works of the founders of this ‘new’ style of singing in a less formal setting. \nABOUT A CELEBRATION OF BEL CANTO \nThe YST Voice Department presents a semester-long celebration of bel canto (“beautiful singing”)\, exploring the artistry and enduring legacy of this defining vocal tradition. \nThrough performances and our Voice Discovery Series\, we will present music from composers who are credited with the birth of the Bel Canto style of singing\, all the way through to modern composers whose works are still influenced by the concepts inherent in it. \nDon’t miss the other A Celebration of Bel Canto events at YST: \nVoice Discovery: Bel Canto Style & Its Influences on Vocal Music Traditions\n11 Nov (Wed)\, 7.30pm | YST Recital Studio | Free \nCantiamo: Sing Beautifully – A Celebration of the Masters of Bel Canto\n14 Nov (Sat)\, 7.30pm | YST Concert Hall | Free \n  \nTICKETING INFORMATION \nAdmission is free and on a first-come\, first-served basis.
