SUMMARY:In Ac-chord: Sonatas for Cello & Piano
DESCRIPTION:In Ac-chord honours YST’s Guy Hentsch Prize for Piano Performance and the Geoffrey SK Yu Prize for Cello Performance\, recognising the generous support that makes the cultivation of YST’s student pianists and cellists possible. On this evening\, our talented students from the YST Cello and Piano Studios take the stage alongside YST Head of Piano Studies Professor Albert Tiu\, as well as Jonathan Shin\, Lim Yan\, Leslie Tan\, Wang Zihao and more. \nWitness this dynamic collaboration as they present sonatas by Beethoven\, Schubert\, Brahms\, Rachmaninoff and Poulenc\, brought to life in ‘ac-chord’—between instruments in dialogue\, between artistry and excellence\, and between performers through shared collaboration. \n  \nYST CELLO STUDIOYST PIANO STUDIOwithLESLIE TAN\, celloWANG ZIHAO\, celloCHO HANG-OH\, celloALBERT TIU\, pianoLIM YAN\, pianoJONATHAN SHIN\, pianoand more… \nPROGRAMME \nLUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN Sonata in C major for Piano and Cello\, Op.102 No.1\nI.
