SUMMARY:Forum Series: Historical Performance in the 21st Century
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THIS EVENT \nHow does Red Dot Baroque – a group in Singapore in the 21st century – position itself performing music from the 17th and 18th centuries in Europe? What is historical performance practice and how does that impact the way we think about music we play today? What has changed since the work of pioneering historical performers such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Gustav Leonhardt? What does it mean to achieve “authenticity” in performance – and is it really possible? Join members from RDB in uncovering new perspectives in this discussion and dialogue session! \nSubscribe to YST’s mailing list. \nTICKETING INFORMATION \nFree admission via Eventbrite registration.  \n[Please note that by clicking on the link\, you will be directly forwarded to a third-party independent site\, which is not developed nor maintained by the National University of Singapore (NUS).
