DESCRIPTION:PROGRAMME \n\nIn the Foyer: \nGIOVANNI GABRIELICanzon in echo à 12  \nIn the Concert Hall: \n\n\nIMPROVISATIONon Greensleeves  \n\n\nANTONIO BERTALISonata à 3 for two violins\, sackbut and continuo  \nFRANCESCO CAVALLISonata à 12 from Musiche Sacre  \n\nABOUT THIS EVENT  \nStudents from the “Baroque Improvisation” and “Cori spezzati” workshops present a culmination of their week-long exploration of 17th century music and styles. The concert will begin in the FOYER of the YST Concert Hall with performances of music by Cavalli and Picchi\, featuring a polychoral instrumental style born out of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice adapted to the architecture of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. The journey continues in the concert hall with echo music of Gabrieli\, improvisation sequences designed by the students on popular “pop” tunes of the 17th century\, and a special appearance by RDB members on Bertali’s Sonata for two violins\, sackbut and continuo. \nSubscribe to YST’s mailing list. \nTICKETING INFORMATION \nFree admission via Eventbrite registration.  \nPlease note that by clicking on the link\, you will be directly forwarded to a third-party independent site\, which is not developed nor maintained by the National University of Singapore (NUS).
