SUMMARY:An Evening with Paul Huang
DESCRIPTION:Violinist Paul Huang graces us for a very special evening at the Conservatory Concert Hall\, sharing his personal insights as a prolific international artist in a fireside chat\, followed by a chamber music performance alongside YST Associate Professor in Piano Ning An as well as students of the CAVE Quartet. \nRecipient of the prestigious 2015 Avery Fisher Career Grant and the 2017 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists\, violinist Paul Huang is considered to be one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. The Washington Post remarked that Mr. Huang “possesses a big\, luscious tone\, spot-on intonation and a technique that makes the most punishing string phrases feel as natural as breathing\,” and further proclaimed him as “an artist with the goods for a significant career” following his recital debut at the Kennedy Center. \nLearn more about Paul Huang via this link. \nIn partnership with the Orchestra of the Music Makers. \n \n  \nPROGRAMME \nPaul Huang\, Violin with CAVE String Quartet: \nViktoria Ivaylova Marinova (BMus2)\, Violin Syu Cheng-Yi (BMus2)\, Violin Caitlin Chin Kai Li (BMus2)\, Viola Ren Yuxiao (BMus2)\, Cello \nNing An\, Piano \nFireside chat with Paul Huang \nERNEST CHAUSSON Concerto for Violin\, Piano\, and String Quartet\, Op. 21 \n  \nTICKETING INFORMATION \nTickets at $5-10 via yst.eventbrite.com. \nOut of respect for the participants and other spectators\, no children under 6 years of age will be allowed admission. \nSubscribe to YST’s mailing list here.
