1. Two contrasting movements of a Baroque or Classical sonata or concerto (example: Mozart Concerto in G, k.v. 313, or a sonata by J.S. Bach)
2. A choice piece from the Paris Conservatory Flute Concours selection
Master of Music
A recital of 50-55 minutes displaying various styles and periods of repertoire.
Repertoire submitted will be vetted by the studio faculty before they can be accepted.
Note: Candidates are to note that major and minor scales may be tested during the audition at the discretion of the audition panel. An additional short study piece will be given to the candidate on the day of audition. The live audition for flute major will include a 30-minute workshop, a 20-minute audition, a 5-minute interview and a short English oral test (for overseas candidates not exempted from QET). In addition, candidates who are in a competitive position for an offer of admission will receive a 30-minute one-to-one lesson with a major teacher or the head of department.
